Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager who will be responsible for identifying and delivering to market the optimum product assortment for a leading pureplay garden products company with a strong presence in the UK and European retail marketplace.
With a mix of being home-based 1 day per week and the rest working in their modern offices in the Shropshire region, they are a truly forward thinking and award-winning company with a genuine entrepreneurial spirit.
You will put the customer journey at the forefront of every decision you make using analysis and insight to bring to market a product range that will drive sales and optimise profits.
This will involve nurturing relationships with the current supply base as well as sourcing new suppliers via collaboration with Purchasing and NPD teams, negotiating cost prices and agreeing trading arrangements.
With experience of dealing with suppliers in the far east and the EU, you will also be highly commercial, with outstanding negotiation skills and a good understanding on financial levers including pricing, margin and profit.
