    Description

    The ONE Group is collaborating with a renowned retail company in Northampton to find a talented Finance Manager for their team. This role is all about managing financial reporting for the UK business and ensuring solid financial controls, teaming up with the Senior Finance Manager. Here's what you'll be responsible for:

    • Team Leadership: Guide a team of 2 accountants in preparing precise reports.
    • Month-End Reporting: Consolidate financial performance for the UK group.
    • Technical Reporting: Provide reports on liabilities, revenue recognition, and IFRS16 lease accounting.
    • Performance Analysis: Analyze P&L and Balance Sheet differences to aid financial performance insights.
    • Audit Contribution: Prepare financial statements for annual audits whilst ensuring compliance with UK standards and IFRS.
    • Technical Updates: Stay informed on financial developments and oversee their implementation.
    • Financial Controls: Strengthen controls and processes affecting the P&L and Balance Sheet.
    • Group Reporting: Guarantee prompt submission of necessary group reports.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Supervise reconciliations and reporting for UK regulatory returns.
    • Internal Control: Regularly reconcile balance sheet accounts and promptly address internal audit actions.
    • Collaboration: Foster relationships across the business, balancing UK and global finance interests.
    • Team Development: Invest in team development and engagement.

    As the Finance Manager, you should showcase the following skills and traits:

    • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience, primarily in IFRS
    • Highly business-oriented with the capacity to challenge various departments
    • Advanced proficiency with Excel (including interactive Excel and macros) and familiarity with SAP and Navision advantageous but not mandatory
    • Strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
    • Thrives in a dynamic, rapidly evolving, and expanding business environment
