This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and bespoke house builder at a key stage in their development.
Reporting to the MD this will be a varied and all-encompassing role which offers excellent opportunities for progression and the chance to make a real difference to the business.
- Overall responsibility for the day to day running of the accounts function
- Producing monthly management accounts and reporting to strict deadlines
- Supervision of two members in the accounts admin team
- Cash flow forecasting
- Variance analysis
- Preparation of the year end audit trail
- Sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
- Update and maintain financial records, contracts, annual budgets, tax reports and financial statements.
- Liaising with other departments.
- Filing tax returns (CIS, tax, PAYE, end of year returns etc}
- Close contact with clients and their requirements
- Credit Control
- Supervision of payroll
Key skills required:
- A good all round accounting background
- Ideally an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
- Experience of the construction industry
- Ability to lead a small team
- Excellent IT and communications skills
