Responsibilities:


  • Provide constant supervision and guidance to the student to help him stay focused on tasks and avoid inappropriate conversations.
  • Assist the student with managing his phone and iPad usage, making sure that he is only accessing appropriate content.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for the student, who is not violent but struggles to sit still for long periods of time and interrupts others often.
  • Help the student learn to regulate their interactions with peers, reducing instances of annoyance or talking too much.

Requirements:


  • Prior experience as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant or similar role is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively with students who have a range of learning needs and support them in a positive and encouraging manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Flexibility, patience and a sense of humour are essential.

  • Hold previous experience working within SEND
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
