We are recruiting for a Nurse Team Manager who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
This is an exciting time to join the acute division of unplanned care, where we are incorporating multi-speciality medical and same day emergency care, all into one footprint under the umbrella of acute medical services.
We are seeking an experienced acute or emergency Nurse Team Managers who would like a to develop their management and skills in a busy Same Day Emergency Care unit.
You will be able to adapt to continually changing situations whilst promoting the highest quality patient care, working closely and collaboratively with the Acute Assessment Unit and the emergency department whilst under taking the in reach role to maintain timely and safe patient flow.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be accountable for the line management of nursing staff, enabling the department to provide the highest standards of care, minimising any risks to service users.
Promote high standards of professional practice and the delivery of quality care within the corporate policies, protocols, and guidelines.
Be accountable for the delivery and monitoring of robust infection control measures at department level, through relentless vigilance by ensuring delivery of all aspects of the Infection Control Strategy as outlined in Section 3 of the strategy.
Be accountable for the budget management and undertake in Reach role and covering GP hotline.
Provide effective leadership for all nurses, clinical support workers, clerks and ward housekeepers employed by the service.
Be a member of the directorate's management team providing expert advice and direction on nursing and clinical governance issues.
Be a role model for nurses, representing the department and Trust as required and identified by the PSM, DHON,HON, Clinical Director and General Manager.
The post holder will be required to work 365 days a year. You will work both clinically and supervisory, demonstrating sound clinical knowledge across multiple specialities.
