Do you want to join a growing University College that has achieved 3rd in the UK for student employability and where 100% of students achieve employment or go on to further study?
*This role is student facing role and you must be willing to work from our central London campus. Working from Home is possible on some days but with prior agreement with line manager. Working from home is welcome outside of term time.

We are seeking a Careers Advisor to support the Head of Careers & Employability.

The main focus of the role includes:

  • Supporting our undergraduate students in providing face to face careers advice to studying on our degree programmes
  • Developing relationships with banking and finance employers and sourcing internships, placements and graduate roles
  • Delivering specific careers workshops to large and small audiences on CV and Cover Letters and other career management topics
  • Host on campus career events with employers
  • Curate and source relevant careers information and resources for banking and finance.
  • Delivering careers education and guidance to potential students
  • Delivery of on campus weekly careers presentations for incoming students
  • Support at wider oneoff events such as open days, offer holder events, widening participation events and Summer/Autumn university
  • Deliver in person and online careers in finance assemblies/talks to schools.
  • Working closely with our schools team to ensure careers content and messaging is accurate and reflective of current best practice within banking and finance careers
  • Take ownership of LIBF's My Financial Career Website, ensuring copy and job profiles are up to date.


You'll need to have a passion for helping students succeed and have superb communication skills as well as the confidence to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities.

Finally, we are looking for someone who has an interest in Banking and Financial Services.

You also need to be confident at working across all levels in an organisation, and with different stakeholders.
