    Are you enthusiastic about Computer Science and love to teach? GSL Education is looking for a dynamic Computer Science Educator to join a local secondary school in Poole for a permanent position starting in September 2024.

    The school prides itself on creating an interactive and nurturing learning environment where students can excel both academically and creatively. As a Computer Science Teacher, your role involves delivering captivating IT lessons to students of different age groups and skill levels. You will develop lesson plans and additional materials that cover essential topics such as computer hardware, software, and programming languages.

    As a Computer Science Teacher, you play a vital part in fostering a positive educational atmosphere. The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable in the subject matter but also enthusiastic about making Computer Science engaging and accessible to students with diverse abilities.


    Main Responsibilities:

    • Deliver engaging and comprehensive computer science lessons in line with curriculum standards, preparing students effectively for assessments and future academic pursuits.
    • Apply diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning preferences and abilities, ensuring every student has the chance to succeed.
    • Utilize innovative teaching approaches, integrating technology and real-world examples to demonstrate the relevance and appeal of computer science.
    • Regularly evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback to enhance their academic development. Collaborate with colleagues to assess data and enhance teaching techniques.
    • Create a welcoming classroom environment that nurtures a passion for literature and language, encouraging respectful conduct among students.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Teaching certification in Information Technology or Business Studies.
    • PGCE/QTS/QTLS qualification.
    • Prior experience teaching Computer Science or Business Studies at the secondary level is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Familiarity with and dedication to the school's curriculum principles.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Effective classroom management techniques.
