Surveyor - Healthcare
Salary up to £35k per annum + car allowance + bonus + benefits (will vary dependent on experience)

This role will cover the Southeast region and be based out of the St Albans office.

About Us:

Aitchison Raffety is a multi-service national property consultancy which operates from a number of UK offices with over 100 professionals.

We provide the full range of property services and advise large corporate businesses, developers, investors, lenders, local authorities, and a sizeable number of occupier types.

We have one of the most talented and experienced teams in the industry.

The role is to undertake a fee earning role, achieving a fee target which is reviewed annually.

Promote our Company Values, leading by example, and to act as an ambassador for AR both internally and externally, and generating new business for the healthcare team and wider company.

Liaise with GP clients to provide a variety of services primarily valuation and landlord and tenant.

Liaise with portfolio clients and undertake an active role in relationship management and progressing rent reviews and Landlord and Tenant work as required.

Our portfolio clients are major health investors and form a significant proportion of the work we undertake.

Key Accountabilities:

To independently manage a fairly significant number of existing and new instructions.
Quickly establish a consistent and high fee earning role.
Active in meetings (virtually or in person) or contacting new and existing clients to develop the healthcare side of the business and assist in growing the department.
Contribute new ideas and innovation in relation to business development and growth.
Work effectively with clients and nurture those relationships.
Respond to correspondence and tasks in a clear and timely manner.
Able to work as part of a team with a view to team/income growth.
Engaged and effective team player, taking an active part in the healthcare team and the broader AR team.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in own skills and the processes of the team.
Maintain and build a pipeline in accordance with target with assistance from wider team.

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualified chartered surveyor ideally with at least 1year PQE.
Some Landlord and Tenant experience primarily in relation to negotiations for rent review and lease renewal.
Some valuation experience.
Good communication skills.

Preferable

Experience in healthcare/GP premises with some knowledge of dental and pharmacy markets preferable but not essential.
Registered valuer and full valuation experience not essential but a knowledge of valuation processes particularly investment method required when acquiring or selling property, or for sale and leaseback work.
Experience in development appraisals and projects which can range from refurb/extensions to new build health centres.
