    Job Title: College Marketing Assistant

    School/Department: College of Medicine & Health

    Grade: 6

    Contract Duration: Permanent

    Responsible to: College Marketing Manager

    Purpose of the Job:

    To collaborate with the College Marketing Manager to execute recruitment and marketing activities for subject areas within the College of Medicine and Health. Responsible for creating online content supporting student recruitment journey including written narrative, video, and photography formatted for diverse media and tailored to specific audiences.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with School Marketing Leads on recruitment activities.
    • Produce engaging content for marketing campaigns.
    • Update and manage online course information.
    • Create visual content adhering to University's identity.
    • Produce marketing assets aligning with marketing strategies.
    • Monitor campaigns for engagement levels.
    • Coordinate digital engagement campaigns.
    • Collaborate with agencies for marketing assets.
    • Collaborate on visual assets for student recruitment.
    • Create relevant and engaging social media content.
    • Generate reports for the recruitment cycle.
    • Research competitors when required.
    • Support academics in engaging with schools and colleges.
    • Assist with the clearing process.
    • Provide support at UK recruitment events.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Participate in performance reviews and developmental activities.
    • Comply with University's policies and statements.
    • Ensure a safe working environment.
    • Comply with legal and financial policies.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications/Training

    Essential

    • Educated to A level or NVQ level 4 in a relevant subject area or equivalent experience.

    Desirable

    • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area.
    • Evidence of continuing professional development.

    Experience/Knowledge

    Essential

    • Effective communication skills in English and Welsh.
    • Experience in producing marketing material with good copywriting and editing skills.
    • Understanding of digital marketing.
    • Proficient in IT tools.
    • Ability to build effective relationships.
    • Enthusiastic and motivated.

    Desirable

    • Experience in higher education marketing.
    • Experience working with external agencies.
    • Skills in writing for diverse audiences.
    • Experience in photography and video editing.
    • Willingness to learn and develop skills.

    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
    • Creative and innovative thinking.
