    Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist Harrow CAMHS - Band 7

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist position at Harrow CAMHS. This role is ideal for newly qualified or early career professionals who are dedicated to working with young individuals and their families. Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust is a leading mental health organization providing top-notch children's mental health services across 5 London boroughs. The Trust prioritizes staff well-being, reflective practice, and team collaboration in CAMHS teams. The role of child & adolescent psychotherapists within the MDT is highly valued by the Trust.

    Main duties of the job

    • Provide specialized psychotherapeutic services to children and young people with mental health issues as part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team.
    • Deliver psychotherapeutic assessments and therapies to service users and their families/carers, offering advice and consultation to colleagues.
    • Contribute to CAMHS assessments, interventions, and support plans for children in care, including highly specialized evaluations.

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    • Conduct specialized psychotherapeutic assessments based on complex data.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans using evidence-based methods across different care settings.
    • Provide psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals, families, and groups based on psychoanalytic principles.
    • Evaluate treatment options considering theoretical models and complex factors.
    • Take autonomous responsibility for assessing, treating, and discharging children and young people.
    • Contribute to the overall care framework for children and young people with mental health challenges.
    • Undertake risk assessment and management for individuals.
    • Act as a case worker, initiating and reviewing CAMHS care plans.
    • Communicate effectively regarding assessments and treatment plans.

    You must have the relevant UK professional registration.

    This position requires a DBS check in compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
