About the role:
The Employer Services Consultant is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with employers in the Tees Valley area.
They will source sustainable employment opportunities for those on our programmes as well as promoting collaborative working with employers to support upcoming recruitment drives.

Required criteria:
- More than 1 years' experience and a track record of success working in a sales environment, account management or business development role.
- Experience of working as part of a service delivery team, in which the delivery of services you have sold is carried out by other individuals/teams with whom you have had to work effectively.
- Evidence of Employer Services Consultant attributes such as Challenge and Resilience, Flexibility and Adaptability, Honesty and Integrity, Impactful Communication, Planning and Decision Making, Selling and Influencing and Team Orientation.
- Technical skills includinggood knowledge of the local labour market and knowledge of employment legislation governing recruitment practices.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills, accomplished networking skills, organisational and time management skills with the ability to build professional relationships effectively.
- Experience of working in a performance target driven environment.
- Personal interests including interest in people and willing to go the extra mile.
- Driver or able to travel as appropriate.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of working in recruitment, publicly funded services, or other similar sectors.
- Experience of delivery of recruitment or assessment processes.
- Experience of working with disadvantaged client groups in the delivery of customer services
- Direct previous experience of a similar role
- Other desirable criteria including preexisting network of employer contacts in the local area; the ability to use qualitative mechanisms to deliver continuous improvement to service delivery; a proactive 'cando' attitude; a track record of driving positive change and the ability to work under own initiative and think outside the box.

More details about the role:
Business Development
- To identify new business opportunities that match the caseload requirements and capabilities.
- Promotes and creates an awareness of the entire range of Triage services including work experience/trial opportunities, vocational and accredited training as well as support filling vacancies.
- Identify other employerled business opportunities when opportunities arise e.g., growth sectors.
- Maximise on repeating business and developing existing accounts.
- Identifyorganisations with potential for providing recruitment opportunities at Triage locations or programmes.
- Provide information, advice, and guidance to employers on how to attract, select, support, and retain disabled talent, promoting where appropriate Disability Confident scheme.
- Work with employers to identify ways in which they might structure roles to provide greater accessibility to participant groups e.g., promoting job sharing/parttime hours providing greater accessibility for carers, work trials to increase awareness of opportunities, adjustment duties to enable participants with health conditions / disabilities to access and sustain in employment.
- Support those on our programmes to access live vacancies, brokering opportunities specific to their skills and abilities.
- Educates operations teams and programme participants about opportunities available in key industry sectors.
- Ensures all recruitment services are delivered in accordance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) identified within SLAs.
- Ensure employers' requirements and expectations are always met.
- Represents Triage at external meetings to keep abreast of employment opportunities in the area and identify and influence opportunities to influence the design and approach of such initiatives / new opportunities.
