Care Service Delivery and Contracts Manager


Salary:
£26,000 - Full time salary


Contract:
Temporary 12 Month contract

Part time - 24 hours per week


Place of Work
The position will be located at the Trust's HQ, with the possibility of some working from home.

Occasionally may be required to attend meetings or training in York or the Yorkshire area.


Purpose of the job
Organising and scheduling Support Worker rotas to ensure organisation is fully staffed to meet contractual obligations.

To organise the booking of staff training and annual leave

To arrange cover for staff annual leave and sickness


Main Duties

  • Organising rotas for each Tenant/ Support Worker in line with contractual obligations.
  • Staff matching to tenant support
  • Organise and maintain the training matrix, calendar and schedule
  • Approving/rejecting annual leave
  • Arranging cover for annual leave, sickness and training.
  • Liaising with staff, relief staff and agencies to ensure shift cover.
  • Organising of the effective use of overtime cover, relief workers and agency.
  • Ensure the rotas are in accordance with the working time directive

Communication

  • To ensure Support Workers have their rotas in a timely manner within the agreed timescale.
  • To ensure that Staff know who will be covering shifts
  • Effective communication with all Support Workers, with regards to the expectations of following the booking leave system.

General

  • Promote diversity and equality through staff matching and shift cover.
  • Ensure the wellbeing of employees through following the working time directive guidance and supporting the trust as we aim for staff to have a good work, life balance.
  • Support the safety, wellbeing and protection of people in the delivery of services through compliance with the organisation's safeguarding policies.
  • Remain uptodate with current and future training needs of Care and Support Staff
  • To actively participate in relevant training and ongoing professional development to meet identified knowledge and skill requirements
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with all Wilberforce Trust tenants, staff and managers.
  • On call duties

Personnel

  • Develop and maintain good working relations with all Wilberforce Trust staff
  • Promote good employment practices, equal opportunities and welfare in accordance with Trust policies, including disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • To have the flexibility to work outside office hours on occasions as required
  • Ability to deliver difficult improvement requirements in a constructive way
  • To work independently to tight deadlines
  • Reporting skills and budget management
  • Support and advise the executive team by providing accurate and timely reports to support decisionmaking and to inform the Trust of performance against plans
  • Build constructive and open working relationships with all service users of the Trust to ensure a highquality experience and invite feedback to inform future developments
  • Develop and nurture successful working relationships with external partners
  • To represent the Trust as required
  • Thorough understanding of ethics, regulations, and laws
  • Working with management, regulators, and Local Authorities
  • Support colleagues to find solutions when implementing changes and improvement plans
  • To undertake such other duties as the Chief Executive or Trustees may reasonably require from time to time
