Head of Financial Reporting

Location:
Portishead (with Agile working)

Salary:
Up to £75,000 per annum

Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week

The Vacancy


Alliance Homes is looking for a CCAB qualified accountant, who has a minimum of two years' experience, to join our team working under the Chief Finance Officer to deliver a high-quality Financial Reporting service for customers and stakeholders.


You will be responsible for the preparation of the Group and Subsidiary annual finance statements, lead on the year-end external financial audit and the annual statutory financial statements ensuring that they are in accordance with FRS 102, The HousingSORP and the Regulator of Social Housing Accounting Direction regulations.


We would like you to be responsible for the monitoring and benchmarking of Value for Money metrics for the Group and lead on the technical accounting for the Local Government Pension Scheme.

You will also oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring paymentsto suppliers are accurately tracked and approved.

You will provide technical advice across the business, providing information to enable strategic decision making, including explanations of significant financial issues that could impact these decisions.


You will lead and manage any projects as required, to meet the changing needs of the business and keep up to date with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, and any emerging trends in accounting and finance which could benefit the Group.

Within this role, there is the potential to deputise for the Chief Financial Officer as and when required.
