Role Information

  • Flexible hybridworking model
  • Salary: £46,549 (prorata)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead and deliver projects and workstreams to ensure programme outcomes are met
  • Manage and maintain project management tools, techniques and controls
  • Manage and lead the identification and resolution of project risks and issues
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes
  • Support the management of contractors to develop design and cost proposals which meet the Council's requirements
  • Consult and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, councillors, partners, tenants, residents and other stakeholders building strong and dynamic relationships
  • Adhere to and support compliance with, relevant values, legislation, policies, governance document management and risk management arrangements of participating organisations in supporting the delivery of projects.
  • Manage and deliver procurement activity such as collating documentation, responding to clarifications and evaluating tenders

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Managing and leading projects within the specified discipline or related field
  • Working with public sector projects
  • Leading and supporting procurement activity to deliver value for money
  • Employing a range of project management tools and techniques
  • Leading collaborative problem solving activities to provide innovative solutions to complex problems in a project environment
  • Communicating, negotiating and influencing to form positive relationships with stakeholders and partners at all levels and engaging them in delivering better outcomes
  • Presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner using a variety of presentational formats
  • Effectively managing competing priorities of own work and that of others, responding quickly and appropriately to changing needs and priorities whilst delivering on a range of projects, utilising excellent organisation skills
  • Managing staff responsibly and effectively including provision of matrix management where applicable
