Description
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant to join our team and provide specialised support for a child with visual impairment in a primary school starting in September 2024.
As a 1:1 Support Assistant, you will:
Provide individualised support to a child with visual impairment, ensuring their safety and inclusion in all school activities.
Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet the child's needs.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
Monitor and record the child's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
Understanding of visual impairment and its impact on learning and development.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational and personal growth.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of the child
Location:
Kettering, Northamptonshire
Monday- Friday
Salary - £85-£95 per day
