- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English to secondary school students
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Assess and evaluate student progress to provide feedback and support their development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programmes and initiatives
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Solid understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and student behaviour
- Qualification in English Literature/Language, or related subject would be useful
- Experience working with students from troubled or disadvantaged backgrounds, who are generally at risk.
