Part time - Assistant Management Accountant


Based in Watford, Hertfordshire, our highly successful distribution client is recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent, part-time basis.


This job would suit a part qualified accountant / studier offering fantastic exposure in supporting the management accountant in preparing the month end process from start to finish including production of the Board Pack.


This PE backed modern business has such a great story to share and have grown YOY for the past 5 years prior to Covid and are currently above 2019 levels, with some exciting growth plans over the next year.


The successful individual will have excellent organisational, time management and Excel skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.

They will need strong IT and typing skills, with good attention to detail; Knowledge of MicrosoftOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other commonly used office packages is essential for this role.


Job responsibilities:

  • 25 Hours per week *Flexibility is available and options of hybrid working.
  • Supporting the month end process from start to finish including production of the Board Pack.
  • Monthly VAT reconciliation and submission.
  • Supporting project work to improve the efficiency of the team.
  • Understand and monitor complex customer accruals balance.
  • Partnering with departments as required to understand spend in the period vs budget.
  • Adhoc tasks including analysing costs in detail and making comparisons to budget.

  • VLOOK UP, PIVOT TABLES.
