We are seeking a Quality Control Assistant to ensure the higheststandards of quality of finished product.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out line checks on filled finished products, checking packaging, labelling, batch coding, weights and general appearance are all correct.
Work closely with the departmental team to ensure there is a "can do" attitude evident.
Ensure that your area of responsibility is "audit ready" at all times and that nonconformances and corrective actions are actioned and closed off within the required timescales.
Work in a safe and legal manner encouraging others to do the same and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any unsafe working practice & reporting to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Assist Quality Manager where necessary.
Sign off Production Paperwork as correctly completed, file and archive (as and when required in a diligent manner)
Provide adequate cover for the Quality Manager during holiday, absences etc.
Carry out testing of bulk manufactured products to meet specification.
Carrying out inspections of components, labels and raw materials as required.
Maintaining the laboratory equipment

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

Experience of factory processes & requirements.
Good standard of spoken & written English which will allow written instructions to be read & effectively communicated.
Solid level of numeracy able to calculate.
Ability to clearly communicate & build good working relationships with other members of the team and production.
Selfmotivated and highly resilient.
Ideally experience of a working fast paced, customer focused environment.
