My client are recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join their exciting business in York. You will have experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor within a Manufacturing/Packaging environment.WORKING HOURS:
- 40 hours per week.
- Rota basis 5 days per week to include weekends.
- 2 x 30 minutes break

THE ROLE:
- Plan and organise the labor on the line to ensure the most efficient production output.
- To assist the packhouse manager and cover in their absence.
- Ensure that all Hygiene and Health & Safety rules and procedures are followed by all operatives.
- Ensure that all operatives comply with quality and good manufacturing procedures.
- Ensure that all production KPI's are achieved, and work to improve them.
- Effectively communicate all company information to all operatives on the line.
- Ensure all documented details are recorded accurately and all changeover information is precise.
- Ensure the accurate recording of downtime and batch counter's for KPI purposes
- Ensure the label check sheets are filled in correctly and verified.
- Metal checks to be carried out on each line hourly and at the start and end of each run.
- Checkweigher verification checks to be carried out at the start and end of each run.
- Feedback all quality issues to the Production Manager and Technical Department.
- Feedback any machine or equipment issues to Production Manager/Engineering Manager
- Continuously monitor the process and offer ideas for improvement.
- Motivate your team and develop a good team spirit.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Previous experience as Team Leader / Supervisor within a Manufacturing / Packaging environment
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication

- IT & Numerical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in pressurised environment
- Flexible in approach to working hours
- Basic Food Hygiene Qualification
- HACCP training
