- Develop a comprehensive commercial strategy and scaled cost-effective branded content packages for our podcast portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with Chief Content Officer - Podcasts to bring the commercial strategy to market & identify new talent and products that we believe to be commercially attractive in the podcast space.
- Drive proactive outreach to new potential advertisers, securing incremental 360 revenues.
- Work Collaboratively with Bauer's Agency and client teams ensuring transparent communication when pursuing advertisers & agencies.
- Work collaboratively with Octave colleagues on audience led digital audio solutions in the podcast space.
- Establish collaborative working relationships with all key senior stakeholders and core teams including the podcast team, commercial leadership team, video & social teams, commercial programming, creative delivery, creative strategy, and content teams.
- Collaborate closely with Bauer's delivery team to ensure all podcast led campaigns are handled and delivered effectively.
- Deliver monthly reporting on all podcast activity, costs, and revenue.
- Evidence that with new processes, products, and pricing we can win more commercial creative revenues from podcasts.
- Represent Bauer's podcast capabilities at industry events and forums to raise our profile.
- A strong understanding of the changing media landscape.
- A track record of working on complex audio led partnerships that include podcasts, social video & talent.
- Strong understanding of the commercial podcast market.
- Experience at selling 360 brands with extensive experience of selling social video formats.
- Experience at senior stakeholder management.
- Collaborative problem solving to achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
- Management of high-volume workload in a complex, fast paced and ever moving sales environment.
- Be able to adapt positively to an ever-evolving agenda.
- Handle confidential and commercially sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong negotiation skills when it comes to working with content teams & talent.

With our committed plans to build a healthy and profitable podcast business, we are looking for a Commercial Podcast Director to join our Commercial team in London.
You will own revenue targets and drive both revenue and reputational growth for Bauer Media's podcast portfolio.
The UK podcast market is becoming increasingly competitive, requiring a strategic commercial approach to position Bauer's podcasts as 360° media brands. You will package our diverse podcast content into attractive cross-platform branded content offerings for advertisers and agencies - spanning audio, video, and social channels.
The unique nature of our podcast talent and content demands a targeted client approach beyond our existing national advertising clients. Podcasts represent an opportunity to secure new incremental audio revenues from brands that have not previously advertised with us. You will proactively identify and cultivate new advertising partners aligned with the context, audience, community, and talent of each podcast series.
This is an opportunity to truly own the commercial growth of our podcast business.
In this hybrid position, you will be able to work from home and our office location in London.
