There are full-time and part-time positions available.

Basic Requirements:


  • Animal care qualification and genuine interest in the care and welfare of animals
  • Understanding of ASPA (Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986)
  • Hands on experience with animals in essential.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and have attention to detail in all work.
  • Proven ability work within a team.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role, including the possibility of working at different locations and including some weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Carry out daily feeding, watering, cleaning and general care of laboratory animals
  • Make observations, keep accurate records and input data into computer programmes
  • After training, undertake simple nonregulated and regulated procedures and techniques, including schedule
  • Contribute towards the general cleaning and upkeep of the facility and monitor and record environmental conditions in specific areas as required
  • Following SOP's and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Commit to the rota for weekend and bank holiday work
  • Assist with other duties and responsibilities as required at the direction of the Team Manager.
