Job Description:


Working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

The role is working hyrbid - part office working, part home working.
As a Buyer for Eurofins UK, you will provide purchasing services to all UK Eurofins businesses as part of a centralised purchasing department, whilst supporting the activities of the Senior Buyer
  • Operational Excellence and Purchasing Manager
.


Duties include:


  • To obtain best value supply routes for the businesses by a combination of relationship leverage and strong negotiation
  • Support consolidation of supply chain and promote preferred routes to the businesses
  • Support and maintain KPIs for operational performance
  • Support junior team members with commercial queries
  • Support junior team members with development opportunities as deemed appropriate by the Senior Buyer
  • Operational Excellence and Purchasing Manager
  • Maintain system records for accurate pricing and supplier data
  • Support internal customers with correct use of the Coupa purchasing system
  • Support internal customers with adherence to Eurofins purchasing processes and policies
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders within the business
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with key suppliers
  • Proactively share knowledge and intelligence with colleagues within and outside your scope


  • Support Senior Buyer

  • Operational Excellence and Purchasing Manager
with savings initiatives

  • Support full team with continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:


  • GCSE educated, C or above in Maths & English
  • Working knowledge of P2P systems
  • Proven experience in a purchasing role with a commercial focus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Organised and able to multitask
  • Customerfocused;
  • Strong problem solving skills
