Our client is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support Partner to become part of their Quality Assurance and Practice team, and to work with their operational teams in Shropshire and Suffolk.


Depending on your level of qualifications and experience, they can offer a salary starting from £28,000 to £36,500 per annum.


Your development

  • You will be supported, depending on your level of qualification, to achieve the diploma in Positive Behaviour Support and Practice Leadership with the British institute of learning disability (Bild).
  • Become trained in the SPELL framework and Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) to train the trainer level, certified with the Tizard centre, part of the University of Kent.
  • You will have the option to attend relevant conferences and seminars such as the Bild PBS conference.
  • Other options regarding professional development will be available depending on experience and relevance.

About You:


  • Be open to share work with your supervisor and other Positive Behaviour Partners and be solutions focussed in your work.
  • Undertake assessments, including functional behavioural assessments and provide guidelines and advice on supporting people who display behaviour described as challenging.
  • Implement and evaluate Behaviour Support Plans, working with individuals and support teams to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage and prioritise a caseload of internal referrals along with other responsibilities.
  • Deliver training in Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support, this will include becoming a Senior Trainer in line with the RRN training standards which includes some physical intervention training.

  • Be passionate about delivering positive outcomes for the people we support and other stakeholders.
  • Desirable to have a qualification or substantial training and experience in Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support.
  • Have experience of working in social care, or in a similar setting, working with people with Intellectual disabilities, autism and/or complex needs.
  • Have experience of being a Practice Leader.
  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively and maintain positive relationships at all levels within the organisation and with external agencies.
  • The knowledge, understanding and commitment to upholding and championing

  • Hold a full valid driving licence and have access to own car.
