    Product Owners at Bede are responsible for maximising the value delivered by the engineering teams and ensuring that the Team and Tribe backlogs accurately represent the business strategy and stakeholder needs.


As a Product Owner, you will be embedded into an Engineering Tribe working alongside other product owners and collaborating with product managers.

We expect our Product Owners to establish an expert-level understanding of their Tribe's product area and take full responsibility for delivering and driving incremental improvements by having an in-depth understanding of customer and end-user needs.

The Product Owner will collaborate with product management and engineering teams, representing the stakeholder within the Tribe's engineering teams. They will be accountable for the Tribe Backlogs - owning the priority, content and quality of Epics and Stories.


Additionally, the Product Owners will be accountable for inspecting and accepting the feature increments at the end of every sprint and getting feedback from stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:


Vision

  • Own, maintain and curate the Tribe and Team backlogs based on the strategic direction set by the Tribe Leadership
  • Contribute towards the Bede Product Roadmap for respective product areas

Execution

  • Play a key part for the tribe throughout the Bede Software Development Life Cycle
  • Work closely with Product Managers to understand customer needs and business strategy
  • Connect with stakeholders to identify, understand and capture problem statements and objectives
  • Represent the voice of the stakeholder (client or Bede Sponsor)
  • Turn highlevel objectives/requirements into wellunderstood detailed product requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria and follow these throughout the execution
  • Take full accountability for product quality and feature signoff at the end of each sprint
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to produce sprint reports and to project delivery dates (for small to midscale projects, largescale projects will have a dedicated Project Manager)
  • Support defect triage for both internal defects, as well as external raised defects.

Product knowledge

  • Take full accountability for the product area documentation and own the strategy for filling the gaps
  • Create and contribute to platform release notes
  • Write and maintain feature documentation
  • Collaborate with product managers and share product knowledge

Attitude

  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to deliver product increments
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Tribe Leadership to deliver a compelling product strategy in line with
