    Job Title: Hospital Bed Services Administrator at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board

    This position offers a dynamic opportunity to be part of a welcoming team implementing innovative approaches in managing the Patient Equipment Service at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and skilled administrator with strong IT capabilities. Additionally, excellent communication skills are essential as you will regularly engage with patients, families, clinical colleagues, and suppliers/engineers.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Bed Service department.
    • Handle calls from patients and clinical staff to assist with bed allocations in Acute and community services.
    • Support processing invoices using Oracle and assist nursing assessors.

    The base location for this role will be at St Cadocs Hospital. However, occasional work at other sites within the Health Board may be required upon request.

    Qualifications and Knowledge:

    Essential:

    • Good standard of general education
    • NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent
    • Excellent IT skills
    • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

    Desirable:

    • Facilities management qualification
    • ECDL or equivalent certificate
    • Experience:

      Essential:

      • Experience working with electronic databases
      • Experience with staff rotas
      • Proven administration skills
      • Experience in a busy environment

      Desirable:

      • NHS experience
      • E-Systems technology experience

      Skills and Attributes:

      • Analytical and judgment skills

      • Experience with Oracle and invoicing
