A fantastic opportunity for an Import Buying Assistant has arisen to work for a well-established and progressive local business.

The role of the Import Buying Assistant is to work in the Purchasing Team and ensure purchase orders are seamlessly pushed throughthe process from Production through to shipment.

Job Description:

As the Import Buying Assistant, they will be primarily raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers through overseas offices
Using relevant reports and information to ensure requirements are followed
The Import Buying Assistant must ensure relevant documentation is produced and saved in the system
Ensuring that all supplier and new product information is kept up to date on the bespoke inhouse system
As the Import Buying Assistant, they will be working closely with the Account department to ensure deposits and balance payments are met to ensure shipments are on time
Chasing of product samples
The Import Buying Assistant will liaise with overseas offices relating to purchase orders, sales confirmations, and product information
Verifying inspection reports, sales confirmations, and requirements
1year experience of working in a similar role
Competent in using Microsoft Office
Outstanding attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to multitask and work within a demanding and fastpaced environment

Hours: 25 Hours per Week (Flexi)

Salary:
£20,000 with an increase up to £21,000 Per Annum after probation
