To support the Unplanned Care Pathway Lead in delivering a high quality, cost effective, high performing patient focused service.

To provide clinical leadership in designated area of specialism on the behalf of the unplanned care
pathway lead including clinical management of highly specialised clinical staff.

To be responsible for the operational management of the services in the ESD, Locality Neuro teams

To provide effective leadership, management and be responsible for the career and personal
development of the service workforce.

To manage a delegated budget and associated financial activities such as contracting and purchasing
in line with HCT's standing financial instructions.

To implement the strategic focus for the service in line with Business Unit business planning.

To contribute towards HCT's strategic direction

To deliver a high performing service with effective demand management systems.

To contribute to the development and implementation of HCT's clinical strategy, the professional workforce development and overall objectives for HCT


We are looking for a highly motivated individual to take on the role of Operational Service Lead for our Neuro Community Team.

This is a new role following recent changes within the adults management structure. You will have proven experience of operational leadership and expertise within one of these clinical areas. You will have had experience in working with all members of the Multidisciplinary Team ensuring a high standard of clinical care is delivered, as well as working alongside the multidisciplinary team to facilitate patients in achieving their goals, linking in with strategic development of the services and clinical pathways within the Integrated care systems


You will work closely with the pathway lead and have the ability to provide representation at senior meetings to discuss service performance and risks.

You will have experience of service transformation, and audit.


This vacancy is a 12 months Fixed term position and In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary of £2,011 per annum (pro rata where applicable).

You will be required to travel to various locations within Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust to attend meetings and conferences.

You must hold a full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)

The post holder has day to day responsibility for HR and other managerial duties while operating within broad policies for the designated locality

To ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with current quality initiatives within the area of work.
