We are currently recruiting several Waking Night Support Worker roles for a children's Residential Home located in Kilburn North West London.
Our Client if offering the following:
- Salary starting at £26,900

Requirements:
- 1 years experience working with Children or Young Adults in the last 3 years
- Understanding of Safeguarding
- Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare or Equivalent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To maintain the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives
- Personal care involved
- To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment for the young resident.
- To comply with company rules, policies and practices of the establishment and to respond to emergencies which may arise within the establishment.
- To develop a responsible attitude with residents with regard to the fabric, furnishings, equipment, supplies and services in/or to the establishment and to support them in all domestic aspects of both their own personal space and communal areas of the establishment.
- To foster and encourage, whenever appropriate contact between residents and their families.
- To promote and encourage learning by young people. Services and to work with young people on educational activities within the programmes of education devised by the Home
- To accompany the young people on outdoor activities when required.
- To carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary.
- To physically intervene if a resident's behaviour is dangerous to others or themselves, in accordance with procedural guidance of the establishment and relevant legislation.
- To attend relevant internal and external meetings/training as requested.
- To be responsible for the health and safety of self and others.
- To carry out any other appropriate duties requested by the RM and respective line manager.
- To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young adults responsible for (or come into contact with) in accordance with the Academy's Safeguarding Policy & Procedures.
