Description
We are recruiting for a Buyer to join our client who is a Nationwide building materials and hardware supplier. The role would be joining a growing team, at an exciting time, and would offer a brilliant opportunity

The role would be paying between £35,000-£40,000 doe and has hybrid working in addition


Responsibilities:


  • Target cost savings whilst maintaining and improving supplier quality and cost
  • Own category responsibility for commercial and contractual procurement activity
  • Tendering business with existing customers
  • Negotiation of pricing/contractual terms/rebates with suppliers
  • CSR & supplier risk management
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships, contracts & supplier performance management
  • Onboarding of new suppliers
  • Adhoc reporting to managers and wider business
  • Compliance with product legislation and company Supplier Guidelines
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding
  • 4+ years experience within relevant industry
  • Strong direct spend experience, ideally raw materials (Metals/Woods)
  • CIPS qualified, ideally 3/4+ (Desirable but not essential)


  • IT Proficient

  • Microsoft Office & SAP (Desirable but not essential)
