Greenwellgleeson are pleased to be working with a successful, high turnover, manufacturing business based in Worcestershire to help with the recruitment for a Assistant Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

Preparation & review of monthly accounts prior to final FC review

Preparation & review of consolidated quarterly reporting prior to final FC review

Preparation of draft statutory accounts

Liaison with external auditors and tax advisors. Main point of contact for annual audit and quarterly reviews

Calculation and review of customer agreements

Ad hoc business partnering with other areas of the business

Annual budgeting - overheads, workforce and cashflow

Quarterly VAT return preparation / review

Full understanding of day-to-day work in Accounts Dept

Assist FC in managing Accounts Department, and provide cover for aspects of FC role as required

Progression to line management in due course

Person Specification

Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or high-quality QBE

Ability to be 'hands on' with ledger accounts on the ERP system

Strong Excel skills

Experience of meeting tight deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to deal with a wide range of staff up to senior management level
