What we are looking for
We are looking for an
Administration Support Officer to join our team in
Waste Services. You will share our
values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.


About the role
As part of the councils' Waste Services team, the role will involve
both administration and customer service duties.


The position also involves general office duties and data entry, including processing requests and payments for services using our specialist systems.


About you

You would be required to demonstrate:

  • Excellent customer service skills in order to resolve queries and complaints at first point of contact.
  • Have the confidence and diplomacy required when the information being relayed may not be what the customer wants to hear.
  • Accurate data entry, with good attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise workloads, in order to cope with unexpected high demand.
  • Good telephony and IT skills, with a knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience of working in a customerorientated service is desirable.
