Our Chartered Surveyors, Farm Business Consultants, Planning and Development Professionals, Valuers, Environmental Specialists and Estate Agents provide a full range of services for our rural client base.


Main purpose of the job:

We are recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Colburn.

Within the role you will work closely with the Head of Accounts to support with the production of internal company accounts as well as the client accounts team.


Reporting structure
The role reports to the Head of Accounts.


The role and responsibilities:


  • To input and maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Ledgers in Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • To input into sales and purchase ledgers in Landmark
  • To assist the Client Accounts Team Leads with monthly management reporting, bank reconciliations
  • To assist with monthly management reporting.
  • Responsible for credit control.
  • To assist with ad hoc reports and analysis.

The skills we are looking for in you:

  • Possesses a current or studying for a recognised accountancy qualification, e.g., AAT, CIMA, ACCA.
  • At least 3+ years experience in an accountancy/bookkeeping role.
  • Experience of Sage 50 Accounts or Landmark Prime would be advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided if necessary.
  • Good level of numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritise busy workload, and the role calls for someone who can manage their workload calmly and set priorities.
  • Ability to act on own initiative whilst also working within Company processes and procedures
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Professional attitude to all areas of work and confidentiality essential.
  • Experience within a professional services organisation preferred, but not essential.

Salary:
£26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
