Consumer Additions are currently partnering with popular engineering and technology business, who are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join the team on a 12-month FTC.

The role is based in Surrey.


Key Responsibilities:

Month End Reporting

  • Journal reviews
  • Consolidation of P&L
  • Preparation of monthly journals for COS, Capitalisation etc
Month End commentary

  • Actuals vs Budget
  • Month on month movement
  • Complete P&L analysis
Forecasting

  • Consolidation across BU
  • Headcount and payroll projections
Budgeting

  • Yearly budget preparation
  • Present budget to exec
  • Consolidation of budget templates
  • Headcount/payroll
  • Cash Flow and Balance sheet modelling
Strategic Business plans

  • Financial statement modelling
  • Consolidation
  • Review with Business unit leads
  • Support in preparation and implementation of templates
  • Line Management of 1 resource
  • Business Partnering
  • Audit support
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations


  • Impairment reviews

  • Review of intangible assets to see if reduction in value is greater than amortised level.
Business Unit Reviews

  • Monthly pack preparation
  • Challenge business units on numbers or gaps to budget
  • Management Information
  • Shareholder Reporting
  • Capitalisation Assessments
  • ERP implementation support
  • Standard cost update

Key Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with > 2 years' experience.
  • Technically strong with experience of latest FRS and IFRS standards;
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong people manager and leader;
  • Confident to challenge the "norm" and drive improvements across the business
  • Proven record of working in a team.
  • Strong IT skills especially Microsoft Excel.

  • Able to critically analyse large volumes of data, identify irregularities and draw concise conclusions
