Exciting new opportunities
At NELFT, we have secured significant and long-term Transformation funding and are undertaking an ambitious and exciting programme of co-designing our community respiratory service, with our partners in the CCG and secondary care. Our aim will be to improve and enhance our service delivery to meet the challenges that face our population in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge through integration and collaboration. We want to improve patient outcomes across Long Term Conditions, to help our residents lead lives free from the burden of these diseases by having extended access in the community settings to our services 7 days per week, collaborative working with our partners and expanding our multi-disciplinary teams.
We are now recruiting Band 6 Respiratory clinician with an interest and experience in respiratory. We are looking for Nurses/Physiotherapists/Occupational therapists/Paramedics who are passionate about the care they give to patients and who want to make a real difference in delivering respiratory care. You will work in and be supported by a multi-disciplinary care team including nurses, doctors, therapists, and psychologists. Community Respiratory services will be supported with a Professional Lead to support with complex cases and to continuously improve the quality of service that is consistent across the patient's journey.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

The post holder will be a Registered Clinician (NMC/HCPC) who will have prior Respiratory experience or community experience in different speciality. The post holder will be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of care relating to clinical areas. Responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage and deliver care to meet the complex needs for those patients. The post holder will be able to manage and support their peers, working on their own initiative and also an effective team member. They will be committed to working collaboratively, actively supporting and liaising with other health, social professionals and other agencies.
