Description

We are looking for someone to join our People team on a 14 month contract, to help us create a welcoming and inclusive culture within our organisation.

As part of our people team, you will play a crucial role in developing positive relationships with colleagues and making sure that our people are always at the heart of everything we do.

You will work closely with our Head of People and Happiness to help deliver effective people initiatives for the entire employee life-cycle, including recruitment, retention, development, engagement, diversity and inclusion.


As the People Advisor you will be the go-to person for all office enquiries from our staff and contractors, liaising with relevant companies to maintain facilities, health and safety requirements and office supplies, for this you will need to be highly organised and proactive.


Overall we are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference, loves working with people and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

Main Activities

People

  • Develop positive relationships with colleagues, learn and understand our organisation, ensuring our people are at the heart of what we do.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including; job descriptions, advertising gender neutral vacancies, shortlisting, answering queries, sending out offers.
  • Proactively help create a positive onboarding experience for all new starters, liaising with the CEO to schedule and organize new starter presentations followed by an allinclusive social occasion.
  • Help champion our Diversity and Inclusion journey with ideas and recommending improvements.
  • Draft, advise and issue employment contracts, letters, handbook, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with other People related project work such as redundancy consultations, investigations and meetings when required.
  • Ensure People documentation and forms are up to date for both organisational and legal requirements.
  • To assist with training administration for compliance training, shadowing for new starters and adhoc training for all.
  • To liaise with suppliers for familiarisation trips and assist with transport and hotel arrangements as needed.
  • To bring new ideas for engagement of employees through socials or events.
  • To schedule Employee Forum meetings, take minutes and assist with outcomes as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the People team, recommending improvements to systems and procedures to improve efficiency in the department.

Systems

  • People systems to become the lead administrator user for internal People systems, mastering the systems, ensuring they are up to date at all times and promoting companywide adoption.
  • To maintain our People system (Iris) with any changes to employment including new starters, leavers, salary or hours changes and running reports for management and payroll.
  • Notifying managers and employees from messages set up on Iris as reminders for reviews and events and provide documentation.
  • Work closely with our internal engagement and reward platform AddHap, to monitor and update content, run surveys and keep the members list up to date. To propose or write blogs on People and Wellness.
  • Assist with recruitment using out ATS Hireful.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation and GDPR requirements at all times.

Social

  • To arrange social activities within defined budgets and liaising with suppliers as necessary, including sending surveys and coordinating our well loved 'Take Away Tuesday'.
  • Liaise with CEO to schedule and organize new starter presentations followed by whole office social.
  • To liaise with suppliers to organize annual Summer and Christmas parties

Office

  • Ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the office and all matters relating to facilities, health and safety and fire regulations by liaising with the relevant companies, arranging visits and follow ups as a result of visits.
  • You will be the first point of contact for all office enquires from staff, contractors, suppliers and visitors including water, electricity etc and check and authorise invoices.
  • Track, review and renew service contracts/service level agreements with suppliers, ensuring value for money for Attraction Tickets Ltd.
  • Work with Head of People on all Health and safety, Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, First Aid boxes and Air Conditioning.
