- Lead the indirect tax team who support all indirect compliance and advisory matters
- Drive the strategic approach of the company for all indirect tax matters including the compliance processes, VAT recovery and business technical support
- Be the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for all indirect taxes, building strong cross-functional relationships and operate as a business partner to enable new business initiatives and manage risks and opportunities as they may arise
- Provide strategic direction and support to the global shared service centres located in Costa Rica, Poland and Philippines whose responsibilities include indirect compliance and audit support and are key part of the indirect tax function
- Manage outsourced service providers where we require additional technical, process or project support
- Partner with the tax technology team to drive transformation projects and ERP implementations and ensure continued process optimisation and efficiencies
- Partner with members of the international tax team, some of whom have specific responsibilities for indirect taxes (e.g. China, Brazil etc.), to ensure complete indirect oversight and coordination with other taxes
- Set the strategy and lead tax authority communications including for tax controversy and audits
- Support the US Provision and forecasting process including assessing need for reserves and management of cash flow impacts
- Lead indirect tax matters relating to business transformation and supply chain projects including M&A integration activities
- Keep up-to-date with legislation developments and communicate to the global teams
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferably with a major in accounting, finance or tax from an accredited institution and relevant qualifications in accounting and tax
- Significant indirect tax experience preferably with 'Big 4' experience
- Indirect tax knowledge with broad global scope, including understanding of international technical topics and the interaction between local statutory filings and tax returns
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), leadership abilities and desire to collaborate across the function and organization
- Experience in a large multinational with significant physical supply chains
- Proven ability to use analytics and influencing skills to drive results
- Exhibited sense of urgency to drive effective change and manage performance

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
The Indirect Tax Leader will report to the Vice President International Tax and be responsible for all indirect tax matters outside of US and Canada including ESG related taxes (PPT, Oil Excise etc.) The role will cover 80+ jurisdictions and approximately 250 indirect tax registrations.
