Marketing Manager (B2B) Sports and Events brand

A major, well-known sports events and hospitality brand is looking for a Marketing Manager to join a forward thinking, creative marketing team that delivers the business' long term strategy of sustainability and diversification.


With a new website and booking system launched last year, they've laid the foundation to be part of their exciting growth and join a team that's developing and implementing powerful content strategies to reach and engage target audiences through a rangeof digital channels and media.


As Marketing Manager, you will create and manage the B2B marketing plan to drive awareness of their conference and exhibition business through PR, web, content, PPC, trade shows and industry events.

You will also create strategically planned marketing activitiesto support commercial performance, manage agencies (PR, social media, performance marketing and creative), and plan out and continually refine the booking and CRM user journey.


To be successful, you will need to have previous experience in a B2B role for a venue (essential), experience within the hospitality and hotel sector (desirable) and demonstrate experience working on demand generation programmes.

You will also have a strongunderstanding of PR, social media, and digital marketing, hands on experience using CRM for B2B marketing.

You'll be a self-starter with a 'cando' attitude and have the ability to communicate and advocate company-wide cooperation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage the B2B marketing plan to drive awareness of the new conference and exhibition business through PR, web, content, PPC, trade shows and industry events.
  • Implement a demand generation programme across multiple digital channels to build marketing qualified leads for the sales team.
  • Develop customer loyalty tactics with continuous contact to reengage and retain existing clients.
  • Ensure our brand is delivered consistently throughout all customer touch points from digital marketing through to the physical experience.
  • Maintain an active B2B database working alongside the sales team and our website and data partners.
  • Manage agencies predominantly web, performance marketing, creative and content to a consistent high standard undertake market and competitor analysis to discover new marketing opportunities.
  • Develop strategically planned marketing activities to support commercial performance throughout the year.

  • Assist in the creation of copy and content for the social media and editorial calendars.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to promote the event calendar.
  • Plan out and continually refine the booking and CRM user journey.
  • Understand the changing needs of the business and develop marketing activity to meet both short and longterm needs.
  • Keep abreast of the newest trends and innovations in the industry work with revenue team to ensure third party and affiliate channels are always up to date and reflect the brand.
  • Own the content management for digital channels including website and guest app.
  • Ensure brand standards are met in marketing communications as well as operationally within the service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance with granular tracking across relevant KPls Manage and be accountable for marketing budgets, working closely with the finance team and relevant department heads.
  • Create a strategy for customer reviews and continuous feedback to understand areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team on core projects.
  • Help to create a positive, proactive culture and environment with the department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a B2B role for a venue (essential).
  • Experience within the hospitality and hotel sector (desirable).
  • Can demonstrate experience working on demand generation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of PR, social media and digital marketing.
  • Hand on experience using CRM for B2B marketing.
  • A selfstarter with a 'cando' attitude.
  • Ability to communicate and advocate companywide cooperation Confident at presenting ideas and plans to senior stakeholders Comfortable with adapting to business needs.
  • Strong project management.
  • Excellent written skills.
