TITLE:
RA / QA Laboratory Assistant


LOCATION:
Gilcar Way, Castleford WF10 5QS


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Organise petri dish for environmental analysis
  • Prepare EPCDs for loads sterilised at Castleford
  • Inoculate BI, monitor & records results.
  • Dispose sterilised BI & media.
  • Perform routine QC inspection

Sterile load release

Stock control and ordering of all laboratory consumables

Maintenance of all lab equipment - either calibrating internally or arranging for extrernal calibrations and servicing

Assisting in external and internal audits

Perform all routine laboratory testing including environmental analysis, media acceptance, ETO residue analysis

Performing validation analysis for any Unisurge sterilisation or laboratory projects

Review, update and generate laboratory validation protocols and laboratory standard operating procedures

Occasional travel to Newmarket will be required.

Education and Experience:


  • Science degree
  • Experience using gas chromatography
  • A basic knowledge of quality control
  • Previous experience in a lab environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 & ISO 11135

£22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
