Location: Long Eaton, NG10

Job Description: We are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a specialized SEN school in the NG10 area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing one-on-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Provide personalized support to students with SEN, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
Assist students with academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care needs as required.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for students with SEN.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, ideally within a school or care setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students with SEN.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and respond to challenging situations effectively.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or health and social care would be advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
