Hours: 40 hours per week (Office Based 2/3 days per week with regular travel)


On behalf of our clients, we are advertising a fantastic opportunity for an Estate Surveyor to join the Property department.

Role Requirements:


  • Undertake the property management of a portfolio of shops
  • Monitor lease key dates and undertake rent reviews and lease renewals in a timely manner
  • Negotiate consents and permissions from 3rd parties (Landlords etc)
  • Ensure any disputes between Landlords and Tenants are resolved promptly with the minimum disruption and cost to the business
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently with the minimum disruption and cost to the business
  • Ensure landlord lease obligations are met, particularly in relation to repairs.
  • To take responsibility for the management of nonoperational premises, including vacant properties, void spaces and commercial and residential subtenants
  • Challenging and monitoring service charge statements and demands
  • To take responsibility for securing refunds or overpayments from third parties
  • Checking invoices from Landlords to ensure accuracy, challenging where appropriate.
  • Develop, manage & upkeep of the property database
  • Reporting to the Head of Estates and deputising when required.

Required Qualifications/ Experience:


  • Educated to degree level in surveying/ real estate and be RICS accredited or equivalent.
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of commercial leases
  • Highly commercial with a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Open to change and able to quickly adapt within a fastpaced retail business
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of businesses
  • Previous experience in a retail environment
