    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the division of Medicine here at West Hertfordshire NHS Teaching Trust as the administrator for Care of the Elderly specialist team.

    The successful candidate will work with the Care of the Elderly specialist team supporting them with administration tasks, collecting data, organising meetings and minute taking, helping with audits undertaken by the specialties, supporting with the organisation of training, and providing general administration support.

    The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as well as a level of competency in information technology. Ideally you must be a team player who is adaptable and can demonstrate good communication skills, motivation, initiative, and a willingness to learn

    Main duties of the job

    The successful candidate will work with the Care of the Elderly specialist team supporting them with administration tasks which will include:

    · Undertaking audits and inputting data both trust wide and nationally.

    · Organising meetings, taking minutes and following up on actions.

    · Supporting with the organisation of training.

    · Supporting referrals to the memory clinic.

    · Providing general administration support.

    Linking with families and carers with the direction of the specialist team

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    The purpose of this post is to provide administrative service to the care of the elderly team, carrying out administrative tasks to enable the smooth and efficient running of the service. To be a valuable member of the care of the elderly team. The post holder will be able to work independently, manage their own time and achieve all the relevant tasks required. The post holder should have knowledge of how to support people with cognitive impairment. The post holder will provide administrative and clerical support to the Dementia practitioner in relation to memory clinic referrals, dementia audits and statistics.
