    Job Description

    Halliday Marx have teamed up with an exceptional practice to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant on a long-term basis.

    Comprehensive study assistance is provided.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain precise and current financial records for clients utilizing Sage 50 & Quickbooks Online software and manual systems when necessary.
    • Record financial transactions, such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
    • Support in month-end and year-end closing processes, including ledger account reconciliation.
    • Generate financial reports like profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
    • Aid in preparing annual accounts and corporation tax submissions.
    • Compile and submit HMRC-related returns like monthly PAYE/NI and quarterly VAT returns.
    • Handle client payrolls, handle general payroll inquiries, pension submissions, and related issues.
    • Offer administrative assistance and undertake any other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
    • Act as the primary liaison between the company and clients, effectively handling client questions, ensuring prompt communication, and fostering strong connections.

    Requirements:

    • 2 years of bookkeeping experience and a solid grasp of double entry
    • Proficient in both Quickbooks and Sage 50
    • Preferably AAT Level 4 qualified and interested in pursuing the ACCA
    • Knowledge of French would be highly beneficial but not mandatory.
