    Job Description

    Role and Responsibilities:

    The position requires a proactive approach to our numerous contract clients and in addition, to improve the service performance of our numerous Service Engineers within the East Service Area and scope of the Ryan-Jayberg Ltd Service department.

    You may be required to address issues in other areas of the business. However, your main responsibilities are detailed but not limited to those below:

    1. To assist the Field Service Manager and Regional Manager in the supervision and management of the engineers in areas directed by the Company in our drive to create and maintain good customer relations and understanding with the client and their representatives.
    2. To guide, train and mentor engineers, through the authority of your position and by the example of your expertise, working efficiently and ensuring chargeables are advised for invoicing.
    3. It is essential that you maintain current technical knowledge of all commercial refrigeration equipment and associated controls installed, serviced and maintained as a part of the Ryan-Jayberg portfolio.
    4. You are required to maintain the highest skills to diagnose faults and rectify faults both speedily and efficiently and be expected to have competence in both practical and theoretical knowledge, which includes testing and commissioning of systems and associated pipework and electrical work, fault diagnosis and rectification.
    5. To ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times by all staff in the working area under your control. In addition, you will report through your Line Manager any concerns in reference to Health and Safety in any sphere of the Company's operation.
    6. You will assist the Field Service Manager and Regional Manager in ensuring that all engineer's tools, parts, refrigerant equipment, etc. are maintained in good condition and kept to a high standard at all times and report any fault items and those needing replacement.
    7. You will be responsible for time, quality, and performance of the engineers under your control.

    Duties in Respect of the Standby Rota Arrangements:

    In operating a 24-hour standby rota it is a condition of your employment that you will, in conjunction with the other regional service supervisors, arrange and manage this both during the week and at weekends, and fulfil this as required, by working yourself as necessary.

    Other Duties:

    Co-ordinate with the Field Service Manager and Regional Manager on early-stage disciplinary issues and recommend or initiate action involving promotions, transfers, and motivation of an employee.

    Carry out periodic inspection of the company vehicle allocated to the individual engineer.

    Carry out audit and inspection of Van Stock held by the individual Engineer.
