International Payroll Specialist
This is a hybrid role based in our Manchester office, you must live within a commutable distance.
Our new
Payroll Specialist will take ownership for the payroll function for Destination Sport Group.
As the sole payroll specialist in the group this is a hands-on role which will be responsible for the day to day running of payroll whilst working on a number of projects and improvements.
**This is a varied & hands on role, as our new International Payroll Specialist you will: - Take ownership of Destination Sport's payroll function in the UK & US- Be the lead and manage our outsourced providers across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand
- Run weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls to agreed timescales (currently 200 staff)
- Process any payroll changes
- Work closely with our HR team to ensure all payroll changes are captured
- Request of funding and ad hoc payments as required
- Process month end payroll journals across all international companies
- Own the expense process across all countries
- Upload pension contributions monthly to Pension provider
- Process P11D information for UK payroll
- Be the project lead for payroll for any new acquisitions
- Liaise with outsourced Payroll Bureau's and local accounting firms to meet all local compliance and resolve queries
- Liaise with group tax as required
- Advise the business on pay and tax matters
- Produce monthly performance metrics to help identify areas for improvement
- Maintain full documentation of all processes and procedure
- Ensure compliance on all statutory requirements for payroll, pensions, and Healthcare schemes for all countries
- Ensure company employment policies are accurately reflected in payroll
- Identify system and process improvements and supporting their implementation
- Provide reports and analysis for yearly audits across all countries
- Circulate updated staff lists for all countries monthly
- Have a proven track record in a similar payroll role within a fast paced business
- Have the desire to develop existing skills & career in international payroll
- Possess a proactive approach with the ability to lead & shape the payroll function in a growing business
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office) including strong excel skills
- Working experience managing multiple deadlines & adapting to change
- Have a strong sense of responsibility & confidentiality
- Possess a high level of attention to detail
- Be organised & efficient
- Have strong communication skills both face to face, verbally & virtually
Highly desirable:
- Experience of payrolls in Europe, US, Australia or New Zealand
