Description
We have an exciting opportunity for Lecturers in Foundation Biology to support students transitioning into higher education by contributing to teaching, assessment, and course administration within the foundation years (Year 1 and Year 2) of Life Sciences courses and by supporting student engagement with learning in the higher education environment. You will contribute to the development of courses and will engage with scholarship to enhance learning and teaching practice at course and institutional level. In addition, you will contribute to the provision of summer schools, to outreach activities and potentially to some additional duties, as deemed appropriate by the Associate Dean for the Life Sciences.
The College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences is comprised of 8 Schools, each School is designed to enhance multidisciplinary approaches to tackle major national and global bioscience and biomedical challenges. There are 16 Life Sciences (BSc) degrees embracing the full breadth of modern life sciences research activity, taught across 6 Schools of the College.
Applications are invited from candidates who hold a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) or equivalent professional and/or teaching experience.
