About the role
The role and its requirements


We have an exciting opportunity to join our Risk function as the Head of Credit Risk Forecasting and Stress Testing.

The role sits within the Credit Risk Centre of Excellence and reports directly to the Head of Department. It is a highly technical role with line management current responsibility of a team of 5.


The role also entails the development of effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the risk function, Finance, Treasury and Product teams, and to present findings to senior management, Committee's, and the Executive.

    You and your abilities


You'll bring extensive experience of strong leadership skills to successfully lead large, complex, and high-profile deliverables and the commitment to people development that align to the Society's values.


You'll have a strong numerate discipline, with a sound understanding of statistical techniques, data mining tools, and knowledge, understanding and/or experience of monitoring and validating credit risk models.


  • With your knowledge and experience of programming in SAS, SQL and advanced skills in the use of MS Excel will support producing updates and analysis for key committeesYou'll help make a difference in the function with a strong understanding of IFRS9 and prior involvement in the BoE Concurrent Stress Testing exercises.
