Job Purpose

Act as a strong and effective support for our Visitor Experience team and Head of the Retail and Visitor Experience.

The Visitor Experience team consists of:

Visitor Experience Assistants, who are responsible for welcoming visitors to the park, taking ticket payments, helping with memberships, working within the gift shop and supporting wider visitor communication and activity.
Train Drivers who are responsible for running and maintaining the train on a day to day basis interacting with visitors and answering questions about the park.
Seasonal Staff for holiday periods to cover additional workload associated with increased event activity and visitor numbers.

Leading by example in customer service and visitor experience the goal is to help keep the department running in an efficient and profitable manner, increasing spend through customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention.

Overseeing the daily operations of the gift shop working strategically to boost profit and develop business offerings.

Main Duties

Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth
Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution
Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions
Mentor and develop the visitor experience team and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment
Control resources and utilise assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets
Adhere to and manage within the team all legal health and safety guidelines.
