Digital Health and Care Wales is an ambitious organisation created by Welsh Government to lead on the digital transformation of health and care, by designing and creating digital technologies to help support NHS Wales staff who deliver care and improve the patient experience

What you'll be doing


This will include designing and creating a range of media from presentations, promotional information such as web site banners, newsletters, brochures, infographics, images for social media, logos, icons, style guides, leaflets to corporate templates, website layouts, Microsoft Teams backgrounds, video editing and animations.

Therefore, this role will require a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created, being responsible for the layout, visual appearance, and usability of the new websites


Strong technical and interpersonal skills are required, with the experience to communicate and express their ideas clearly with individuals at varying levels of technical awareness.

Interpret customers graphic and style requirements ensuring that they meet the requirements of users as outlined in their specification.

You will also be expected to provide guidance to clients, best practice, troubleshooting issues or queries.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and creative individual, who will support our Graphic Design Team.

To provide you with the opportunities to ask for help and guidance but expect you to have the enthusiasm, drive, and aptitude to also develop your skills independently and become an effective team member.

Experience in some of the following areas is considered essential:

  • Use of Adobe Creative Cloud products e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD, Lightroom, Acrobat Pro, Animate, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush, After Effects etc.
  • Video editing and creating animations
  • Technical aspects of web design production
  • HTML
  • Cascading stylesheet
  • Accessibility Guidelines
  • Web Standard
What else is advantageous?

  • UI and UX design
  • Microsoft Teams apps e.g., Sway
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
