Job Summary


You will work within the Early Talent Acquisition team, providing comprehensive administrative assistance to the team and working with them through the recruitment process from targeting, selection and through to offer.


You will also work with the Early Talent Development team, providing comprehensive administrative assistance during the life cycle of the Training Contract.

You will also co-ordinate a small number of initiatives, with the guidance of the Early Talent Managers.

Who you will work with

You will work closely with the early talent acquisition team and the early talent development team.

You will also work with other HR teams where needed (such as HR Direct and payroll); and the events team; and you will liaise with various stakeholders across all practice areas, including Partners, Lawyers and Legal Support Managers.

What you will be responsible for


As the first point of contact for student enquires and as an ambassador of the firm, you will be focused on delivering exceptional customer service, whilst ensuring accuracy and speed to enable the smooth running of operations and events.

You will work with our applicant tracking system and HR systems to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.


What you will do Daily management of the early talent mailboxes, replying directly to queries and escalating cases where appropriate.


Team Administration:

  • Replying to all future trainee requests for reference and visa sponsorship letters.

Assessment:

  • Providing resourcing assistance for assessment days and helping as required.

Event management:

  • Assisting the Early Talent Acquisition Specialists and the Early Talent Development Specialists with organisation of internal and external events both in person and online, including taking responsibility for room bookings, sourcing internal representatives, catering requests and any other duties as directed by the team.

University activity:

  • Running both online and in-person university events on campus, including skills sessions.

Application and process management:

  • Ensuring all deadlines are met and queries escalated in a timely manner.
  • Inputting employee records onto Workday.

PGDL/LPC/SQE support:

  • Processing all future trainee maintenance payments for the PDGL, LPC and SQE.

Current Trainees:

  • Producing weekly trainee absence report to circulate to the Early Talent Development Specialists.
  • Coordinating with the analytics team to produce the monthly utilisation report, biannual qualification statistics and adhoc projects as required.

Other duties:

  • Coordinating merchandise including regular stock takes and maintenance of the storage area.
  • Assisting with adhoc projects as required.
  • Obtaining the correct level of authorisation for work being carried out and escalating complex queries and requests as appropriate.

Experience:


  • Prior experience within talent acquisition, administration, events or customer service will be preferred but is not essential.

Clifford Chance recruits around 100 graduates a year into the trainee lawyer programme. The acquisition team manages the marketing and attraction, the selection and assessment and the offer process for graduates.

The development team manages the trainee life cycle, from completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Law, the Legal Practice Course and/or the Solicitors' Qualifying Examination, right through to qualification from the two-year training programme.
