Job Title:
Facilities Operative***
Location:Near Hassocks, West Sussex***
Salary:£21,250 - £24,084 per annum***
Full Time:Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day between 7am and 7pm

***Our client is a world-leading provider of services to the aviation industry. They are looking for a Facilities Operative to join their team at their global headquarters near Hassocks, West Sussex.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out requested maintenance facilities duties throughout the whole of our client's global HQ. This will include carrying out regular monitoring, servicing, and checks throughout the site
  • Repairing and conducting general maintenance on equipment and parts throughout the site
  • Assist with gardening and grounds maintenance, ensure high level of tidiness and cleanliness throughout the HQ site
  • Ensure internal processes and spreadsheets are kept up to date and are completed in a timely manner
  • Arranging external contractors when necessary
  • Escorting external contractors throughout the site and answering any enquiries they may have and assisting where necessary
  • Ensuring all tools and working areas are tidied at the end of each job
  • Assisting with the installation of pallet racking and helping to install boarding and removing pallet racking when required
  • Assisting with the building of wooden crates for stock
  • Undertaking the necessary training in relation to the role
  • Working safely at all times, in accordance with applicable health and safety law and company procedures/policies
  • Working to the requirements of EN9120 & ASA100
  • Understand and adhere to Export Control regulations where relevant
  • Liaise with internal departments as the nature of the specific task may require
  • Undertake any other duties as required

Requirements:


  • Good working knowledge of DIY skills and grounds maintenance
  • Ability to work under own initiative with a flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to plan in a logical, practical manner as to ensure maximum productivity
  • Confident working at height and with manual handling
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Selfmotivated, flexible, and adaptable to work in a busy environment
  • Ability to undertake physical tasks within Health and Safety guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage tasks through to completion.
  • A calm, flexible and organised approach to carrying out required tasks
